Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Emergency Marketing ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information through Smart Inventory. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
1. Information we collect
When you use Smart Inventory, we collect:
- Account details: name, phone number, email address, and business name (optional).
- Product content: photos you upload, and the listing details generated from them (title, description, category, price, condition, SKU, quantity).
- Payment information: handled directly by our payment processor, Stripe — we don't store your full card details on our own servers.
- Usage information: log data, device/browser information, and how you interact with the service, for reliability and security purposes.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide the service, including generating product listings from your photos.
- Create and manage your account, and verify your email address.
- Process payments and manage your subscription.
- Send transactional emails (verification, billing, account notices).
- Maintain the security, integrity, and reasonable performance of the service.
- Comply with our legal obligations.
3. AI processing of your photos
To generate listings, product photos and related details are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) for analysis. This processing is used only to generate your listing content and is not used to identify you personally beyond what's in the photo itself.
4. Who we share information with
We share information with the third-party service providers who help us run Smart Inventory, including:
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
- Anthropic — AI analysis of product photos to generate listings.
- Resend — sending account and verification emails.
- Vercel and Neon — application hosting, file storage and database infrastructure.
We don't sell your personal information. Some of these providers may process data on servers located outside Australia (for example, in the United States); by using the service you consent to this transfer, which is necessary to provide the service.
5. Data retention
We keep your account and listing data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you return or as required for legal, accounting or security purposes. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time (see Section 7).
6. Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies: one to keep you signed in, and one to prevent abuse of the free-trial feature. We don't use these cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
7. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or ask how it's been used or disclosed, by contacting us via the details on our homepage. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and access controls — to protect your information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's privacy
Smart Inventory is intended for business and personal resale use by adults. It's not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll take reasonable steps to notify you of material changes, such as an email or in-app notice.
11. Contact us
